11. Born For This Paramore's back with their sophomore release RIOT! and 11 full-length songs that will not disappoint you.
The album starts with For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic which immediately grabs your attention and makes you want to start jumping with its guitar. It is a real catchy song that I would definately relate to All We Know from their previous album.
The next song is That's What You Get. It is one of the more pop songs on the album, but still very good. It also includes the line which most likely inspired the album title, "...this heart will start a riot in me."
Track 3 is Hallelujah which I am sure most Paramore fans are already familiar with. The demo of that song was already so good so there is no way it could get better, right? Wrong! It is actually a lot better and probably one of the best songs on the album, if not the best. I also have to admit that this song has never stopped inspiring me since the first time I heard it.
Misery Business is another song most of the fans have already heard since it was their first song from the new album. It is brutally truthful and a great song. Be careful not to be too offended by it, like some have.
When It Rains is one of the calmer songs on the album. It has some very nice vocals. You could almost call it the calm before the 'storm' which leads to the next song.
Let The Flames Begin is another one of my favorites from the album. It is another very inspiring song all about standing up for what you believe in.
Miracle is a good song. It is also one of the more Christian songs on the album for me. "It's not faith if you're using your eyes" is one of my favorite lines in the song. I think it is a song full of hope, faith, and salvation.
Probably my favorite song on the album is crushcrushcrush. The music almost reminds me of something from the 80s. It has powerful lyrics like that of Let The Flames Begin. My favorite line in the song is "they taped over your mouth / scribbled out the truth with their lies / your little spies."
We Are Broken is the calmest, slowest song on the album. It is almost a ballad and has a lot of emotion in it. You could compare it to Franklin of their first album.
Fences is a fun, almost infectious song. It is different from any Paramore song you have heard before. It has a lot of truth to it. It talks about being seperate from the world: "if you let me I could / I'd show you how to build your fences, set restrictions / seperate from the world / that cause a battle you hate to fight."
The album ends with another song most of you have already heard - Born For This. The only part about the song you have not heard is a small line added before the chorus. It is also another song that makes you want to jump around.
Finally, I would like to say that overall this album was very good. The first time I listened, I was not sure if I was going to enjoy it all the time. But when I listened to it a second time, I totally enjoyed it. By now, I have listened to this album over 20 times most likely and have yet to get tired of it. I still enjoy listening to their first album and I hope this album will be the same way. Would I recommend this album? Totally.
